Roberta has a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction
from Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois and her Bachelors
in Kinesiology from Univ. of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She
was born and raised in northern Illinois and moved to Kansas
to begin teaching at Hope in 1994.
She married a life long member of Hope, Dale Schempp,
in 1999, and they have two children, Caleb and Emma. She has
always been active in the Lutheran School System graduated from
both St. Paul Lutheran (K - 8) and Rockford Lutheran High (9
- 12). Her father was the Principal at Rockford Lutheran so
teaching at a Lutheran school is in her blood.
She has taught math, science, religion, and PE.
She taught full time for six years as the 7th grade teacher
and currently teaches Physical Education part time.
