Kris Alsin has been teaching kindergarten at Hope
since 1988. She attended Northern Arizona University and received
a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in 1984. She
received her Lutheran Teachers Diploma from Concordia College,
Seward in 1993. Before teaching at Hope, Mrs. Alsin worked with
kindergarteners in the Before and After School Care program at
Trinity Christian Center. She was also summer camp coordinator
there and, later, served as assistant director.
Mrs Alsin has served in many roles at Hope, including childrens'
Sunday school teacher, midweek adult Bible Class leader, Vacation
Bible School volunteer, Saints Youth Group sponsor, cheerleading
coach, Cub Scouts and Brownie Scouts leader, AAL Youth Volunteer
Action Club Secretary mentor and Booster Club Coordinator. In
addition, she is involved in the Lutheran Womens' Missionary
League and Family Life Ministry Team.
She enjoys boating and skiing at the lake, friends, movies
and watching sporting events.
