This schedule is flexible. It may change to accommodate student interests and unexpected learning opportunities that often occur in a preschool setting! The schedule for the TTH classes is similar.

SNACKS - The program will provide a light snack daily. Fruits, vegetables, fruit juice, or milk are included in the daily snack. Children usually bring a special snack on the day of their birthday celebration.

NEWSLETTERS - Newsletters are sent home once a month to keep parents updated on their child’s activities at preschool.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS - Special programs for family and friends will be planned throughout the year. These programs will be announced in advance.

DISCIPLINE POLICY - At Hope Lutheran Preschool we think of the term “discipline” as the teaching of self-control, Christian attitudes, orderliness, and efficiency. All discipline will be completed in a loving and caring manner with forgiveness rather than punishment as a goal.

Through direct, caring communication with the child, the teacher will explain the expectation of appropriate behavior and coach the child in some alternate behaviors or strategies.

The parent will be contacted regarding prolonged inappropriate behavior that hurts or destroys.

CONFERENCES - Parent-Teacher conferences will be scheduled in the fall and again in the spring. School will not be in session on conference days.

FIELD TRIPS - Field trips may be scheduled in the fall and in the spring for the MWF Class. Field trips are rarely taken by the TTH classes. Parents will be notified well in advance and may be asked to help provide transportation. Programs are often brought into the preschool during the winter months.

LUNCH BUNCH - An extended day “Lunch Bunch” program is offered on Wednesdays when school is in session. An additional fee is charged for children attending Lunch Bunch.
